Declaration on Accessibility
We, the operators of www.leibniz-wirkstoffe.de (and its connected domains such as www.leibniz-bioactives.de), are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA) and other relevant accessibility standards. However, for various reasons (technical and non-technical) some barriers currently exist. We are actively working to address these issues and improve the accessibility of our platform.
We are aware of the following issues:
- Text Size and Readability: Some text elements are displayed in small font sizes, which may be challenging for users with visual impairments.
- Semantic Markup: Some parts of the website lack proper semantic HTML, making it harder for screen readers to interpret content.
- Missing Alt Texts: Images and multimedia content do not always include descriptive alternative texts.
- Contrast Issues: Some text elements have insufficient color contrast, which may hinder readability for users with low vision.
- External Documents: Certain documents provided by external sources (e.g., PDFs, conference proceedings) are not fully accessible and may not comply with accessibility standards.
We are taking the following steps to address the barriers:
- Content Review: We are systematically reviewing and adding alternative texts to images, improving color contrast, and restructuring content for better readability.
- Template Revision: We will carefully revise the template to improve accessibility without imparing the aesthetic appearance of the site
- External Document Compliance: We will raise awareness of our external partners to improve the accessibility of their documents.
Given the purpose and the scope of this website, it will not be possible to remove all barriers. Furthermore, some aspects like the software platform or some template settings, are beyound our control.
